What To Expect

Children can expect to engage with a mixed age group of friends. Each child’s individuality is nurtured and encouraged. Respect for others and manners are demonstrated and taught. Children will be offered healthy food choices including nutritious and balanced breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. Many menu items are homemade, and children’s requests are honored as able. Indoor activities will immerse your child in language with music, singing, reading, and conversation. The classroom has an extensive library where the children can read and are read to. Puzzles, games, dramatic play, building blocks, and open-ended materials are always available. Artistic expression will be promoted with painting, coloring, cutting, gluing, and exploring creative artistic techniques. Outdoor activities take advantage of all four seasons that Minnesota has to offer. There are ample opportunities to run, jump, climb, and hang upside down. The children assist with planning, planting, tending, and harvesting the flowers. In the summer, we take daily neighborhood walks.
